Amnesia The Dark Descent Redux
A downloadable mod for Windows and Linux
This is a rebuild the graphics portion of HPL2 engine in DirectX12 for windows and Vulkan for Linux. These changes are based on the publicly available source from Frictional Games. There are some minor graphics improvements, I corrected the parallax occlusion and introduced HBAO+. Still somewhat early so expect graphical artifacts.
There are a list of things I want to do to HPL2, some of my ramblings can be found in the project issue tracker: here. I'm open if anyone wants to submit or fix bugs in my branch, there is still a lot to cleanup and work on if anyone is interested.
I have some plans to build a new renderer next to the tweaked one but that depends on my time.

Install instructions
Assets are not shipped with this binary since those are copywritten by the developer. Just a matter of replacing the game binary with the one provided in the zip for your system.

Love seeing people make projects like this. If you ever want to accept donations and start making other games have Vulkan options i'd toss some coin your way.
I'm not sure if I can accept donations.Would have to see with frictional games.
